Troy-Curtis G. Hayner III, also known as “Big Blue” passed into eternal life on February 9,2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital after a brief illness. Curtis resided in Troy and was the son of the late Curtis G. Hayner Jr. and the late Alida Hayner who he loved very much. He is also predecease­d by his K9 companion Remmington. Curt graduated from Troy High School in 1984. Curt spent many years as an independen­t contractor, a “jack of all trades” and would have helped anyone with anything.

Curt was an die hard NY Giants and NY Mets fan. He was also an avid lover of shing. You could often nd him helping his friends, visiting Famous Lunch in Troy or attending his grandson’s sporting events.

He is survived by his sister; Carol (Bill Hayes), niece; Erica (Dan) Mahar, great- nephews; Colton, Bryce and Cameron Mahar, daughter; Kate (Cerrone) Wells, son; Jared (Karolina) Wells, beloved Grandson; Cerrone Lewis Jr , his childhood devoted best friend Joe (Lisa) Shufelt, his goddaughte­r Sarah Shufelt and his friend Kathy Wells. Curt’s family would like to express their gratitude to all his friends who were there for him especially during the last several months including, Darcy Winn, Wayne Burch, Scott Vasil, John Barna, Charlie Ayotte, Billy and Mike Fox.

At the request of the family there will be no formal services at this time. A memorial for Curt will be planned at a later date informatio­n will be shared via social media.
