Applications now available for The Leadership Institute

TROY, N.Y. » The Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce has announced that applications are now available for their award-winning, skillsbased professional development program, The Leadership Institute.

Now in its 17th year, the program has a strong alumni network of more than 425 business professionals. Applications for The Leadership Institute Class of 2022 are available on the Chamber’s website and due by June 9.

The Leadership Institute takes participants through seven monthly full-day training sessions led by some of the region’s premier business executives. The program takes a ‘learning from leaders’ approach with sessions dedicated to developing strategic thinking, communication, career-life

balance, organizational development and more.

Professionals of diverse ages, industries and lived experiences who are poised and eager to grow are encouraged to apply to The Leadership Institute. The Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce will review and select up to 24 applicants to participate in the program.

“The Chamber’s Leadership Institute was the first professional development opportunity I was involved with that focused solely on me, my professional growth, my leadership skills, and my overall career path,” said Michael Buckley, CFRE at The Killoe Group. “This program is unique in that it empowers you to become a better leader, a better employee and ultimately allows you to think critically about yourself and set exciting goals.”

To help prospective applicants learn more about the program, the Chamber has set up two virtual open house information sessions on April 13 and April 20. Past alumni, session panelists and Chamber representatives will be on hand to field questions on The Leadership Institute and application process.
