Fred DeMay, President of the RPA and a resident of Sand Lake, who happens to live on the plateau for almost 40 years, will be giving a talk and answering your questions about all things Rensselaer Plateau and RPA. Did you know the RP is the 5th largest contiguous forest in New York; is an important ecological area that is home to rare plants, birds and animals (think Moose, Fisher, Otter); and is the source of clean water for over 100,000 people? Did you know that RPA was incorporated as a not-forprofit in 2008, developed a Comprehensive Regional Conservation Plan by 2013, became a Land Trust Alliance Accredited Land Trust by 2018 and has already directly conserved (2,607) or leveraged (9,765) the conservation of 12,372 acres on the plateau? That is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what this young organization is doing and providing for our community. Come learn more. SLHS. Like us on FB or Sandlakehistory.org. Hall and Oates provided an amazing soundtrack that was ever present on Radio and MTV! There will be trivia! A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, songs and the stories that went into the making of this classic album. By listening together, we get to hear the music again for the first time. It will be great to have you on Zoom or in Person, everyone should do what they are comfortable with. Currently Caffe Lena cannot offer refreshments. Your mask must be worn at all times. You cannot bring food or drink with you. Full Safety Protocols will be delivered with your e-ticket. Please read them carefully. One ticket provides seating for one person. If you are purchasing a single ticket be expected to potentially share a table. We look forward to having a live audience again! Due to limited in person capacity of 24, we will also be streaming the show on Zoom. You can register for the Zoom Stream online Zoom registration is free and per-device. More information is availabl;e online at www.facebook.com/RochmonRecordClub.
