Mohawk Honda donates car to Ronald McDonald House
Mohawk Honda recently provided a three-year vehicle lease to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region free of cost. The organization picked up the van at the Glenville dealership.
Since 1982, the Albany Ronald McDonald House has served more than 17,000 families and provides a home away from home, free of charge, for families with children facing serious medical issues. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region will use the van to support the organizations core programs — the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room, and brand new Ronald McDonald Family Retreat at Krantz Cottage in Lake George. In addition to transporting essential supplies between program locations, the van will allow the organization to offer transportation to guest families.
“This van from Mohawk Honda means the world to us,” said Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region CEO Dr. David Jacobsen. “It will help us serve families with children facing serious illnesses and injuries, ensuring that they can get where they need to go and have all the supplies they need to remain focused on what matters most — their child’s health.”
Mohawk Honda Assistant General Manager Greg Johnson says this is just one way the dealership continues to support community partners.
“The Ronald McDonald House provides much needed support to Capital Region families who are going through the unimaginable,” said Greg Johnson. “As a familyoriented business, this is just one way we can show our support to other families.”
