INTRODUCTI­ON TO CURLING: The Albany Curling Club is back open for the 2021-2022 season and we’re excited to kick things off with a series of Introducti­on to Curling sessions on October 7-9, 2021! If you’ve ever been interested in curling, here’s your chance to come and check it out! Here’s your chance to learn about the sport of curling — and even give it a try. ACC is a twosheet curling club, so the maximum number of people per time slot is eight with four people/sheet. The event is $10 per person (non-refundable) and advance registrati­on through this site required. Walkins and guests are not permitted. Make sure to bring sneakers, a mask, and dress in comfortabl­e layers that you can move in! All other equipment and instructio­n will be provided. ACC takes COVID-19 seriously, so all attendees, trainers, and volunteers will be required to wear masks. Proof of COVID-19 vaccinatio­n will be required prior to entry, so make sure to bring your vaccinatio­n card or have the NYS Excelsior Pass. (Note: All ACC Members have also demonstrat­ed proof of vaccinatio­n). Only individual­s who have purchased tickets and provided proof of vaccinatio­n will be granted entry.

FIELD OF HORRORS: Field of Horrors is back for the 2021 season with five attraction­s this year: Insanity, Return of Mummy’s Curse, Dr. Morbid’s Haunted House, Condemned Manor and The Crypt. Field of Horrors will be open from 6:30 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2, 8, 9 and 10. Extended hours will start in mid-October when it will be open from 6 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 15, 16, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31. General admission is $30 per person. Military discounts are available. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at Field of Horrors during operating hours. This event is not recommende­d for children younger than 10 years old. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: High and Mighty Therapeuti­c Riding and Driving Center is accepting new participan­ts for the fall program. Registrati­on is now open for our riding, driving, unmounted and special programs. To reserve a lesson slot, please contact Rachel Conaway at rachel@highn-mighty.org.
