New Edward Jones office opens in Clifton Park
Financial advisors Khooshbu and Preet Bassi recently celebrated the grand opening of their new Edward Jones office.
The couple was surrounded by family members and supporters at a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Capital Region Chamber.
The celebration was an opportunity for attendees to see the new office, which is set in Suite 206 of a new two-story commercial building at 675 Grooms Rd., near the corner of Vischer Ferry Road, in Clifton Park.
While the local office is new, Edward Jones has been helping individual investors reach their longterm financial goals for more than 100 years.
Both Khooshbu and Preet, who live in Clifton Park, have built careers in financial advisement with Edward Jones. Khooshbu has been with the firm since 2018, and Preet since 2022.
Khooshbu previously worked in Burnt Hills and Preet in Albany, before deciding to take this next career step together by starting a new, family-focused office in their hometown.
“I am excited to be opening an Edward Jones office in Clifton Park, because I see a need for the type of service we provide,” Khooshbu said. “This firm concerns itself with the needs of individual investors and small business owners, and I’m happy to be bringing that kind of personalized service to this community.”
The Bassis started the new Edward Jones office in an effort to be immersed in the Clifton Park community.
The advisors offer clients services involving retirement planning, estate planning, saving and investing.
“Everybody has money questions,” said Khooshbu, explaining that she and her husband focus on educating their clients so they feel confident when it comes to their finances and investments.
During Thursday’s ceremony, Khooshbu said, “This career really does give us the ability to sit down with people, talk to them about what’s most important to them, and it brings us great joy. We love what we do, and we get to help people. There’s really no greater joy than that.”
Preet added, “The relationships we make are actually the most enjoyable part, and to know that people entrust you with their livelihood — not just their financial but their personal wellbeing as well — that means a lot to us, and we just want to make sure we can build those relationships and be able to help people accomplish whatever they’re looking to do.”
As they establish their office in Clifton Park, the Bassis are optimistic about the future. “We’re looking forward to growing here for many, many years ahead,” Preet said. “We both have a long career in front of us and hopefully we can build roots in the community and help the community succeed as well.”
