LITCHFIELD MARKET: The CT Grown Litchfield Hills Farm-Fresh market is moving outdoors to the Center School parking lot for the summer, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and will continue on Saturdays until October. 18 vendors participate. Seasonal artists and guests have great offerings for yourself or special presents. Music, guest artists, chef demonstrations, local nonprofits and a free gardening and cookbook exchange and workshops are scheduled on most market days. FAIR AND CAR SHOW: The Colebrook Fair and Car Show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, at the intersection of routes 183 and 182A. The cardboard boat regatta begins at 3:30 p.m. Cardboard and duct tape are available in the Town Hall selectmen’s or assessor’s office. Basic boat instructions and registration forms are also available. The fair also includes the annual car show and the traditional frog jumping contest and pet show judging. Also found are crafters, vendors, food concessions, a bake sale at the church, a silent auction, flea market, touch-a-truck and children’s games. The Torrington Police Department reported the following arrests: BREACH OF PEACE: Richard Bohner, 43, of 21 Johnson St., Litchfield, was arrested Aug. 16 and charged with seconddegree breach of peace. He was released on a $500 bond and was due in court Aug. 24. FAILURE TO APPEAR: Cory Engebretson, 22, of no certain address, was arrested Aug. 25 and charged with second-degree breach of peace. He was held on a $500 bond and was due in court Aug. 25. FAILURE TO APPEAR: Kyle Caruso, 31, of 65 Elmwood Terrace, Torrington, was arrested Aug. 25 and charged with first-degree failure to appear. He was held on a $5,000 bond and was due in court Aug. 26. ASSAULT: Niklaas Chapman, 37, of 236 Beechwood Ave., Apt. 2, Torrington, was arrested Aug. 25 and charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. He was released on a $1,000 bond and was due in court Aug. 26.
