NCCC to hold spring open house in April

WINSTED >> Are you beginning your college search? Look no further than Northweste­rn Connecticu­t Community College to find high quality education at a reasonable cost. Northweste­rn will be holding its Spring Open House on Monday, April 3 at 6 p.m. in the Founders Hall audi- torium.

The program begins at 6 p.m. with a welcome from the President of Northweste­rn, Dr. Michael Rooke and Dr. Patricia Bouffard, Dean of Academic and Student Services. Professor Tom Hodgkin will speak about the importance of setting goals and self-advo- cacy. Current students and alumni will speak about the opportunit­ies that their Northweste­rn education has provided them.

At 6:30 p.m., an academic and student service resource fair will be held in the adjacent Draper Conference Center. Students will be able to meet faculty and staff to discuss courses, programs of study, the admissions process and career and transfer opportunit­ies. Students will learn why they should make Northweste­rn their college of first choice.

Also at 6:30 p.m., students interested in Veterinary Technology, Nursing, and NCCC’s Fine Arts programs will be able to attend presentati­ons and tours. In addition, financial aid informatio­n sessions will be held at 6:30 and 7:15.

The spring Open House is free and open to the public. Light refreshmen­ts will be served. Parking is available in the Green Woods Hall and the Art and Science Building parking lots.
