BUTTERFLIE­S’ JOURNEY: Members of the Pomperaug Valley Garden Club will present the PBS Nova film “The Incredible Journey of the Butterflie­s” at the Studio at Flanders Nature Center and Land Trust on Thursday evening March 23 at 7 p.m. A discussion of the current status of monarchs, the Monarch Waystation at Flanders, and tips on how to create a butterfly-friendly garden, follows the film. LASAGNA DINNER: The Lee H. Kellogg School 7th and 8th grade students and parents will host their Annual Lasagna Dinner Fundraiser on Friday, March 24 starting at 5:30 p.m. with continuous serving through 7:30 p.m .at the Lee H. STAR PARTY: Star Party astronomy program is organized by members of the Litchfield Hills Amateur Astronomy Club and the Mattatuck Astronomic­al Society, will be held March 24, 7 p.m .at White Memorial Conservati­on Center, Litchfield. LIBRARY FUNDRAISER: The Friends and Board of Trustees of the Morris Public Library will host their 6th Annual Art Around the Box Gala Auction Fundraiser on March 25, 2017 from 4-7pm at the White Barn at South Farms in Morris. Art Around the Box features wooden keepsake boxes, painted and decorated by local artisans, to be auctioned live, as well as a silent auction of art prints and proofs and a silent auction with many prizes including mystery envelopes. CHILI COOK-OFF: The Roxbury Congregati­onal Church, 24 Church St., Roxbury, will host a chili cook-off on Saturday, March 25, 5-7 P.M. There will be a variety of different chilies for sampling, including vegetarian.
