Opening day celebration is April 1
EAST WINDSOR >> The Connecticut Trolley Museum is updating its property and Visitor Center and is eager to show it off, and will hold an opening day celebration on Saturday, April 1.
The celebration includes beer, wine and cocktail sampling from Broad Brook Brewery, Cold Creek Brewery, Lost Acres Vineyard and Joe’s Fine Wine and Spirits from 11am3pm. “New Earth” and “Just Jeanie” will be performing day.
NY Life will be on hand facilitating their child identification program for children. Shaker Pines Fire Department will provide Child Safety Passenger Technicians to properly install car seats. Star Wars characters will be roaming the grounds and posing for pictures.
Additionally, guests can take as many trolley rides as they want, in cars operated by period dressed motormen. Learn historic information about each car you ride and how the museum began. Inside the Visitor Center you will find static trolley cars and artifacts, a theater showing a short film about trolleys and a gift shop to buy that ‘special’ souvenir. On the same grounds is the Connecticut throughout the Fire Truck Museum complete with antique fire trucks and apparatus.
All activities and Museum entrance is included with the admission price.
There will be a food Vendor on site, have lunch and relax while you watch the trolleys arrive and depart from North Road Station.
Admission is $12 for adults, $11 for seniors (62+), children (ages 4-12) $10, children (ages 3 & under) $3 and half price for members.
