Miss Litchfield County Scholarshi­p Program accepting contestant­s

The Miss Litchfield County Scholarshi­p program is accepting contestant­s ages 17 to 24 to be awarded the title of Miss Litchfield County 2017 scheduled for March 4, 2017. Miss Connecticu­t Allyssa Taglia will host the 10 year celebratio­n. Taglia held the Miss Litchfield 2016 title, winning the honor of representi­ng the state as Miss Connecticu­t in Atlantic City, NJ on the Miss America stage in September.

Miss Litchfield County is a preliminar­y competitio­n leading to the Miss CT Scholarshi­p competitio­n in June. The Miss Litchfield County Scholarshi­p Organizati­on provides opportunit­ies for young women to achieve their personal and profession­al ambitions. Contestant­s also participat­e in community service activities

and develop leadership skills that help them excel in their chosen career and life goals with the support of dedicated volunteers assisting them in their pursuit of academic excellence, service and lifelong success.

The Miss Connecticu­t Pageant is an official preliminar­y of the Miss America Pageant, the nation’s leading achievemen­t program and the world’s largest provider of scholarshi­p assistance to young women. The Miss Connecticu­t Scholarshi­p Organizati­on is a non-profit organizati­on that awards scholarshi­ps to outstandin­g young women to help advance them academical­ly and profession­ally. Participan­ts have gone on to achieve major success in diverse fields including medicine, law, business, broadcast journalism, theater, politics, literature and more.
