The Grammywinn­ing singer of songs such as “Mandy,” “I Write the Songs” and “Looks Like We Made It” will appear at the next monthly “Concert for America: Stand Up, Sing Out!” April 18 at The Town Hall. It also will be streamed live on Facebook.

Manilow will join other performers and presenters including Vanessa Williams, Michael Urie, Lisa Lampanelli, LaChanze and Andy Cohen.

Proceeds will benefit the NAACP, the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Southern Poverty Law Center, National Immigratio­n Law Center and the Sierra Club Foundation. Tickets range from $30 to $250.

Variety reports the comedian has dropped out of a live-action film based on the Mattel doll due to scheduling conflicts. Variety says the movie was scheduled to start shooting on June 23, but Schumer has a lengthy promotiona­l tour for her comedy, “Snatched,” which opens in May. She’s also set to begin shooting “She Came to Me” with Steve Carrell soon.

The magazine says Sony needs to stick to a June 29, 2018, opening date for the Barbie film, because merchandis­e surroundin­g the film’s release is already in the works. The studio says it respects and supports Schumer’s decision.

Schumer defended her casting in the film in December, saying she was a “great choice” to play “an important and evolving icon.” Movie reviewer Gene Shalit is 91. Singer Anita Bryant is 77. Singer Aretha Franklin is 75. Actor Paul Michael Glaser is 74. Singer Elton John is 70. AActress Sarah Jessica Parker is 52. Actor Sean Faris is 35. Auto racer Danica Patrick is 35.
