Swimming lessons offered in Litchfield
LITCHFIELD >> Litchfield Parks and Recreation will again be offering swimming lessons this summer, with two three-week long sessions at the Wisdom House pool, located at 229 East Litchfield Road in Litchfield. Spaces are limited. A check reserves a child’s spot for the lessons. The first class on the first session will be on Monday, June 26.
The second session begins July 17 and run through Aug. 4. The fee for each three-week session is $90. Space is limited in each class and registration is now open. A paid entry saves a spot in the class; no signups at the pool will be allowed. Only pre-registered swimmers will get space in the pool as the classes are small. All registrations must go to Litchfield Parks and Recreation at P.O. Box 12, Bantam, CT 06750.
The swimmers will have a 30-minute lesson Monday through Friday, weather permitting. The classes are 9-9:30 a.m. for children 8 and over. Swimmers aged 6-7 years will take their lessons from 9:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. and then children aged 4-5 will have their class from 10:30-11 a.m. Toddlers in class must be accompanied by a parent.
