Mentalist to mystify at Washington event
WASHINGTON >> Mentalist Oz Pearlman, who dazzled the country as a finalist on “America’s Got Talent,” will make the audience wrestle with many questions when he performs on June 4 in Washington.
A “magician of the mind,” Oz, as he is known, plumbs the dichotomy between brain and body, challenging the audience’s grip on reality and its perception of the world. After his performance, his audience often wonders if it can believe what it saw and if it is even possible.
A performer with the stare of an endurance athlete, Pearlman also creates and designs his routines. Like any card-carrying conjurer, he steadfastly declines to reveal the secrets that befuddle and bewitch his audiences. While he
started as a magician, he soon became spellbound with how the mind works and focused on mentalism.
The program, a special event in the “Conversations on the Green,” series, starts at 3 p.m. on June 4 at The Gunnery’s Main Dining Hall, 22 Kirby Road, Washington. For those who would like a personal performance, Pearlman will work his magic at a subsequent cocktail reception at The Mayflower Grace.
All proceeds from the event benefit area charities: Susan B. Anthony, which provides free crisis and support services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault; New Milford Hospital, which serves thousands in the community; and other area charities.
Tickets, a portion of which are tax deductible, are available. Individual tickets are $45. The Family Plan offers four tickets for $150. The Group Plan provides 10 tickets for $300.
“Angels on the Green” tickets are $250 per person and include preferred seating and the opportunity to meet Pearlman at a special cocktail reception at The Mayflower Grace following the conversation.
Following the performance and the “Angels” cocktail reception, a dinner will be held at The Mayflower Grace. Available exclusively to guests, the dinner includes a three-course gourmet meal for $88.50 per person. Select wine, gratuity and taxes are included.
