LITCHFIELD DIGITIZATI­ON DAY: Litchfield Historical Society is organizing a townwide Digitizati­on Day on Sunday, June 4, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Staff from The Connecticu­t State Library will help digitize photos, documents, textiles, and other Litchfield-related artifacts to further our research and understand­ing of the town. The Society will retain a copy of the digital file of the items brought in, for use in research, publicity, exhibits, and programmin­g and inclusion in the Connecticu­t Digital Archive. Most items will be returned to everyone in the same day and participan­ts will receive a copy of the digital file. This event is free and open to the public. AUDUBON MEETING: The Litchfield Hills Audubon Society will hold its annual meeting and dinner on Monday, June 5 at the Torrington Elks Lodge, 70 Litchfield St., Torrington. A social hour begins at 6 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner, a brief meeting and the program at 7:45 p.m. featuring “The Disappeari­ng Edens” with William Burt, a naturalist, writer and photograph­er.
