SVNA hires Tanner-Horn as medical social worker
SALISBURY » Liz TannerHorn will take on the role of SVNA’s Medical Social Worker previously held by Virginia Gold, according to a press release.
“Although SVNA will greatly miss Virginia, we are also excited to bring Liz on board; she is a great addition to the SVNA team,” said Melanie McGinn, SVNA Hospice Director, in the statement.
Tanner-Horn is a licensed clinical social worker and has worked in the healthcare field for the past 16 years. She has several years of experience in homecare and hospice.
“Becoming a social worker was a very natural decision for her as the ability to help, and advocate for families at the end life is her passion,” hospice members said in the release. “She is very familiar with the Northwest Corner of Connecticut, as she grew up here and now lives near her family farm in Warren.”
Tanner-Horn obtained her BSW from Western Connecticut University and a MSW from Fordham University.
