City man pleads guilty to sexual contact with girl, 13

TORRINGTON » A city man pleaded guilty this week to having illegal sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl.

Michael Pisarski, 34, of 70 Franklin Drive, entered the guilty plea at Superior Court in Litchfield under the Alford doctrine, under which a defendant does not admit guilt but concedes there likely is enough evidence to secure a conviction at trial.

According to an affidavit seeking a warrant for his arrest, Pisarski sent explicit text messages to the girl in May 2016, which drew the attention of the girl’s mother.

In an interview, the girl told police that Pisarski had touched her private parts in May 2016 and was attempting a further assault when she told him to stop, which he did, according to the affidavit.

Pisarski told police he did send the explicit messages and acknowledged touching the juvenile’s inner thigh, but said he did not touch her anywhere else, according to the affidavit.

“Pisarski stated that he is not the type to take advantage of a vulnerable female,” wrote a detective in the affidavit.

Pisarski is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 15, according to state records, which will allow a pre-sentence investigation report to be completed.

Judge John Danaher said Tuesday that Pisarski would likely receive a 6½-year prison term, with 13 years and seven months special parole.

The sentence was described as agreeable to the victim’s family. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Pisarski would register as a sex offender for life.

Pisarski is facing several other charges in Bantam Superior Court, according to state records, including first-degree unlawful restraint — a Class D felony, to which he has pleaded guilty — sixth-degree larceny, fourth-degree sexual assault and three counts of illegal delivery of alcohol to a minor.

He has previously been found guilty of failing to register as a sex offender and first-degree unlawful restraint.
