Gallery hosting auction to benefit Prime Time House

LAKEVILLE » The White Gallery in Lakeville will be host silent auction of more than 30 pieces of art donated by local artists, Saturday, July 22, 5-7 p.m.

Artists from Torrington, Goshen, Norfolk, New Hartford, Sharon, Falls Village, West Cornwall, and Bristol have donated works for display and purchase, including Jenifer Allain, Zelina Blagden, Janet Andre Block, Shayna Blumert, Madeline Falk, John Funt, Ben Gerardo, Joan Jardine, Mary Harvey, Sallie Ketcham, Mark Liebergall, Danielle Mailer, Alan McCord, Sam Messer, Joan Morosani, Patty Mullins, Geoffrey Parker, Robert Parker, Chris Pollack, Warren Prindle, Lily Rand, Susan Rand, Marjory Reid, Jon Riedeman, Turi Rostad, Dotty Smith, Kate Stiassni, Diane Stoner, Tamar Taylor, and Lilly Woodworth.

The event chairperso­n is Turi Rostad, Norfolk artist and owner of Turi’s Framing Art, whose contempora­ry work is punctuated by her vibrant spirit and originalit­y of vision. Her personal relationsh­ip with local artists resulted in the donation of much of the art featured at the auction.

Tino and Susan Galluzzo, owners of The White Gallery in Lakeville, donated the use of their premier art gallery in Northwest Connecticu­t and the Tri-State region for this event. Both Rostad and The Galluzzos are longstandi­ng supporters of Prime Time House.

In addition to a full bar, guests can enjoy a selection of wines donated by Salisbury Wines, beer donated by The White Hart, and Harney & Sons Iced Teas donated by Harney & Sons Teas. An assortment of hors d’oeuvres will be offered by The Interlaken Inn, Flawless Catering & Event Planning, and several other area eateries.

This event is being sponsored through the generosity of Harney & Sons Tea Corp., Kennedy Foods, Law Office of Michael D. Lynch, Litchfield Bancorp, National Iron Bank, Salisbury Bank & Trust, and Margaret & Adrian Selby.

Prime Time House, Inc. is a community based organizati­on that assists more than 300 individual­s in Connecticu­t’s rural northwest corner who are suffering with mental illness. Dedicated to reducing stigma and offering unlimited opportunit­ies towards their recovery, our members gain access to the same worlds of employment, education, housing and friendship as the rest of society. In addition to its Torrington campus, Prime Time House operates a gently used, high-end home furnishing­s store, Prime Finds, in Lakeville. All proceeds support benefit Prime Time House.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
