Saxon, UFO performing at Webster Theatre on Sept. 30

Heavy metal rockers Saxon and UFO will touch down at the Webster Theatre in Hartford on Saturday, Sept. 30. Packing an armory of steel coated riffs and songwritin­g swagger, British hard rock legends Saxon are releasing their 19th studio album, “Call To Arms,” The 11 track album was co-produced by singer and songwriter Biff Byford and Toby Jepson (Little Angels), featuring Byford on lead vocals, Paul Quinn and Doug Scarratt on guitars, Nibbs Carter on bass and Nigel Glockler on drums. The first edition digipack version of “Call To Arms” will also contain a free bonus CD featuring 7 songs recorded live at Saxon’s historic performanc­e at Castle Donington 1980. The opening act, UFO, is an English rock band that was formed in London in 1969.

The band’s current line up includes vocalist Phil Mogg, extraordin­ary guitarist Vinnie Moore, bass guitarist Rob DeLuca and keyboardis­t Paul Raymond and drummer Andy Parker. Also included on this triple bill is special guest Jared James Nichols.
