TORRINGTON » Jacque Williams will provide entertainment at Mulligans, 1301 Torringford West Street, Torrington, every first Sunday of the month from 5-7 p.m.

Williams offers up jazz standards as well as classics, bebop, progressive and Latin jazz for jazz enthusiasts partaking in the laid back ambience that is uniquely Mulligan’s.

“I have discovered an increasingly growing base of jazz lovers through my weekly radio show on WAPJ, Torrington’s local community radio station… Tune in Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 10 am until Noon at 89.9 FM & 105.1 FM. Streaming live at www.wapj.com,” Williams said.

The Wednesday morning “Jazzin’ it Up” segment is part of Williams’ three days a week stint at WAPJ.

Mulligan’s is also hosting a new Tuesday Night Open Mic Jam, starting July 11 from 6-9 p.m. and continuing every other Tuesday.

The acoustic open mic will have a house band and all artists interested in performing must sign up on the Singer Songwriter Network website at www.ssnt09.org to let us know which songs they plan to perform and whether or not they want to be backed up by the house musicians. Artists may perform without the house band if they choose.

The purpose of this open mic is to provide musicians a chance to network and perform with other talented musicians.
