Members, guests hold 35th annual charity tournament
TORRINGTON » The United Way of Northwest Connecticut had its 35th annual charity Golf Tournament on May 22 at the Torrington Country Club in Goshen.
The Golf Tournament raised $9,845, which included $1005 through raffle prizes. A group of 47 golfers participated, and all proceeds benefit United Way Community Impact projects.
Participants and sponsors included ARCONIC Dinner Sponsor, BD, Litchfield Bancorp, Northwest Community Bank, Torrington Savings Bank, Union Savings Bank and Thomaston Savings Bank; Lunch Sponsors, The Hole in One, Sullivan’s Northwest Hills Dealership and Mitchell Volvo of the Litchfield Hills. Hospitality sponsors were Litchfield Woods and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital; Par sponsor was Dymax Corporation.
Additional sponsors and players included Barron & Company, LLP, Barry Cone’s Heating and A/C Inc., Bouffard & Ramsey Ameriprise Financial, Inc., Brooker Pediatric Dentistry, Brooks, Todd, & McNeil Insurance, Howd, Cadco Ltd. First place went to Team Tony Ponte, Jack Hogan, Jon DiSalvatore and Dave Segal. Second place went to Team Mike Nejaime, John Ruzs, Jim Chayka and Mike Cellerino.
The United Way of Northwest Connecticut serves the 26 towns in the Northwest Corner through its 26 participating agencies and programs. The agency’s annual fundraising campaign benefits more than 58,500 people.
