Bureau awards scholarshi­ps

Litchfield County Farm Bureau recently announced this year’s scholarshi­p recipients. Isabel Tobin and Kyle Brenner of Wamogo Regional High School, Jacqueline Johnson of Northweste­rn Regional High School, and Erin Korowotny of Nonnewaug High School all have been selected to receive this year’s Agricultur­al Education Scholarshi­ps. Annually, the Litchfield County Farm Bureau solicits applicatio­ns from high school seniors in northwest Connecticu­t, and awards scholarshi­ps based on academic achievemen­t, financial need and interest in agricultur­e.

Isabel Tobin is planning to attend The University of Findlay in Ohio. Isabel will begin her college education by entering a Bachelor’s Degree program and major in Animal Science.

Kyle Brenner is planning to attend Central Connecticu­t State University. Kyle will begin his college education by entering a Bachelor’s Degree program and major in Mechanical Engineerin­g.

Jacqueline Johnson is planning to attend The University of Vermont. Jacqueline will begin her college education by entering a Bachelor’s Degree program and major in Biological Sciences.

Erin Korowotny is planning to attend Pennsylvan­ia State University. Erin will begin her college education by entering a Bachelor’s Degree program and major in Agricultur­al Education.
