Learn to knit a beaded scalloped scarf
One of the most pleasurable projects that I knit is the featured scalloped beaded scarf. The scarf is worked in easy to knit garter stitch. The beads are threaded onto the yarn before knit, sliding them into place as the beads are needed.
The scarf is worked in worked in two pieces and joined at the back neck. The scallop is actually so much fun to knit that I find myself disappointed when it’s done. The remaining beaded stripes are a nice consolation prize, however. Knitters can choose to work rows of beads every four to six rows. The combination of quick to knit garter and easy beaded knit rows really help move the knitting along.
The combination of shiny glass beads, worked into a luxurious fine merino and silk yarn, not only makes for a lovely knitting experience, but results in an elegant scarf worthy of gift giving.
If you choose to keep it for yourself, be ready for compliments every time you wear it. This easy scarf is a project that is perfect for all knitting levels, especially beginners.
