There is an extraordinary future waiting for you, thus ... say it’s so

Once there was a boy who shouted across a valley near his home, “Hello-o-oo. Who is there?” And in the distance a voice answered, “Hello-o-o-o. Who is there.”

Immediately, he looked around, and there was no one in sight. So the boy called out again, “Who are you?” Seconds later, a voice said, “Who are you?” Then, one more time, he shrieked in a high-pitched voice, “Please stop it.” After that, the voice answered, “Please stop it.”

Thoughts swirled in the boy’s head as he thought about the echo. Next, he cried out, “I love you.” Back came the words, “I love you.” Enthusiastically, the boy announced, “You are so good!” And the compliment was returned to him, “You are so good!”

With a flash of understanding, the boy realized what we say can have a way of coming back to us. For we must never underestimate the commanding power of our words.

Did you ever stop for a moment and really think about the words you speak? How often do you talk, not even realizing the great significance of your words?

Our lives can be reflected in our words. Hence, let us create and produce our heart’s desire by what we say.

You may have challenges before you. But what are you saying over your situations? How are you talking to yourself? Are you speaking blessings into your future and into the lives of others?

Regardless of what’s going on around you today, speak faith, speak love, speak success, and speak with kindness. Encouraging words carry strength, hope, and healing, so speak them over your circumstances and verbalize them to others.

When I was a little girl, my mother didn’t drive a car. So when it was time to go grocery shopping, we had to walk to the food store. And we pulled a cart behind us in which to put the groceries. I still remember how careful we had to be, not buying any items that weighed too much because they would be too heavy for us to carry home.

Like that cart full of groceries, we must be careful what we carry home with us. Let’s speak gracious words that edify those who hear them, offering expressions of praise or appreciation to our loved ones. Give compliments freely to others. For words that are positive, encouraging and spoken in love can bring about a new awakening into other people’s lives and our own. Just as a narrow stream of water flows downward from a little, ever-fresh babbling brook into a grand lake, you are a channel which God uses to generously flow out to others.

Think of it this way: You are God’s mouth to speak a live-giving word to another.

Leave behind doubt. And avoid negative selftalk. Never listen to the unconstructive voices inside your head that sometimes try to talk us out of reaching for a better life. Instead, start now by speaking statements of joyful expectation, expressing with self-assurance all the great things that you desire concerning your future. If you utter, “I am blessed,” you’ll be blessed. Say “it’s so,” for the words that you speak can allow you to alter conditions in one direction or in the other direction. Whatever you say and expect, you can begin to attract toward you. In other words, what you say can come to pass.

Daily, talk happiness; talk faith; talk health

… say “it’s so.” And all through the day, affirm: “Everything is going to be all right,” “I’m healthy, strong and capable,” “Opportunities are ahead,” “God is with me, guiding my path,” “I will prevail,” “God will make a way,” “I’ll overcome over this circumstance,” “I’m restored,” and “My goals will fall into place.”

Always speak aloud the way you want conditions to come about for yourself and others. I have found that people become what you encourage them to turn out to be. I’ve discovered this firsthand, when my daughter auditioned to be a part of a dance competition team. During the try-outs, I’d boost her confidence and lovingly say, “I am so proud of you,” “You always try your best,” “You’re a beautiful dancer,” “You have so much ahead of you,” “You’re very talented,” “You excel at everything you do,” I’d tell her, beaming. The more I “said so,” the better she seemed to dance.

A few weeks later, my daughter was chosen for the team. Then, she and the other dance students spent months rehearsing. When it came time for the competitions, my friends and family and I were overjoyed as we sat in the audience watching the group and solo performances.

Each time my daughter stepped on the stage, she’d glance in my direction. I’d smile and nod my head, “Yes.” After every dance, I would clap and cheer and say, “You are doing great!” But what was so marvelous was I noticed that the more positive reinforcement I offered to my daughter, the better and better she performed.

Therefore, today, allow me to do the same for you. If you feel down or discouraged, let me cheer you on, empower, and remind you:

• “You’re wonderful and have special gifts, so offer them to the world.”

• “Don’t give up now, you have further to go.”

• “Many fantastic things are going to happen soon.”

• “Your future is promising.”

• “It’s just a matter of time before you realize your dreams.”

• “Have faith, God will lead you in the right direction.”

• “You are loved!” A positive affirmation, an assured declaration and affirmative statements of the good we long to experience, is most often all that is needed to begin to turn the tide of events in our lives. Hopeful words, when pondered upon and spoken aloud gradually, increase your power and aid greatly in the accomplishment of whatever you set out to do.

Speak loving, positive, faith-filled words. Expand your thoughts and really embrace life. Anything is possible. You can achieve what you say. Thus, never limit your vision for yourself or your future. God is going to do great things in your life.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

Thus, “say it’s so!” There is an extraordinary future waiting for you.
