WINGS OF FREEDOM: The Wings of Freedom Tour will be at the Waterbury Oxford Airport, at Atlantic Aviation, 288 Christian St., Waterbury, Sept. 8-10. TASTE OF LITCHFIELD: Taste of Litchfield will be held on Sunday, Sept. 17 from 1-4 p.m. held at South Farms in Morris. Pre-purchased general admission is $50, which includes food, drink, and entertainm­ent all afternoon. ANNUAL MEETING, CELEBRATIO­N: The Barkhamste­d Historical Society is combining its annual meeting with Barkhamste­d Center Church’s celebratio­n of” Old Home Day on Sunday. AUDUBON PICNIC: The Litchfield Hills Audubon Society will hold its annual picnic at Boyd Woods Sanctuary, Route 254, Northfield in Litchfield, on Monday, Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m. The public is welcome. Staff from Sharon Audubon will entertain with live birds, turtles and snakes. Bring your own chair or blanket, food, beverages and utensils, and insect repellent. The annual picnic was originally scheduled in August but was rained out.
