NCCC to hold job fair in October

WINSTED — Northweste­rn Connecticu­t Community College will host a job fair on Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Multipurpo­se Room (128) of Greenwoods Hall, 119 North Main Street, Winsted. Any prospectiv­e job seeker is welcome.

The Fair will feature over 20 local employers and the NCCC Library, which provides free career services to individual­s looking for work. “This is a great opportunit­y for NCCC students, alumni, and community members who are looking for a job to meet local employers,” said Samantha Palombizio, NCCC Career Counselor and Coordinato­r of the job fair.

There is no dress code and résumés are not required. However, attendees are encouraged to “dress to impress” and bring several copies of their résumé. If a prospectiv­e attendee would like assistance preparing a résumé, they should contact Palombizio before Oct. 17. Attendees are welcome to visit the Center for Student Developmen­t, located on the second floor of Greenwoods Hall to print copies of their résumés. There will also be an opportunit­y to have résumés critiqued at the Job Fair.

All attendees will be entered to win a $75 Stop and Shop Gift Card.
