Sabres extend Eichel for 8 years

The Buffalo Sabres have reached an agreement to sign their franchise player,

Jack Eichel, to an eight-year, $80 million contract. The team announced the signing on its Twitter account in a deal reached two days before Buffalo opens the season hosting the Montreal Canadiens. The 20-year-old Eichel is entering the final year of his three-year entry level contract and only eligible to become a restricted free agent next summer. The new contract won't kick in until next season . ...
