Fall festival set at H.O.R.S.E.

Washington — The Humane Organization Representing Suffering Equines (H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut), now celebrating their 36th year, will hold its first Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with a rain date of Sunday, Oct. 22.

The fun starts from the minute we open the gates at 10:00 with Hourly Tours to meet our many horses, and Pumpkin Painting, Splatter Painting and Grab Bags for the kids. Our popu-lar Bake Sale will offer tables filled with a variety of home baked goods, from cup cakes to cookies, many beautifully wrapped and ready to be given as gifts. Lots of great gift options will be available in the Boutique, at the Silent Auction and Raffle. In addition, we’ll have OMI Jewelry from the talented Lise, bracelets and necklaces by Amy, and colorful sweatshirts, teeshirts and bags for everyone. Remember, all the proceeds from your purchases go directly toward helping to care for our many horses.

The tack shop is packed with too many items to list for our fall Tack Sale, so be sure to stop in and check it out! A few of our featured items are two Wintec Isabell Werth dressage sad-dles, one in almost new condition. We have a huge variety of other saddles, bridles, blankets, boots, helmets, grooming equipment and new and used equine clothing.

Looking for a gift for the person who has everything? We have several horses available for SPONSORSHIP, a program that includes four visits a month during which you can groom, spend time with, and hand-walk the horse for only $50.00! In addition to horses for sponsor, we have several available for LEASE and ADOPTION as well.
