LIBRARY PROGRAM: For the final program to honor the opening of the Hodge Memorial Library in 1937, the Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury is presenting the film “Home of the Brave: When Southbury Said No to the Nazis”, a documentary about how the town of Southbury refused to allow the establishment of a Nazi training camp in town, Thursday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Hodge Library, 4 North St., Roxbury. WORLD AROUND US SERIES: A Special Presentation, World Around Us Series, will be held Oct. 26, 6 p.m. at the Scoville Memorial Library. “The Climate Beyond The White House: Tribalism, Sustainability and a Cooler Future,” presented Dr Eban Goodstein, Director, Bard Center for Environmental Policy, is presented in collaboration with the Salisbury Association Land Trust. OPENING RECEPTION: Five Points Gallery will hold two events in conjunction with its tree new exhibitions, running Oct. 26-Dec. 2. An opening reception will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and an artists’ panel discussion will take place in the gallery at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17. Gallery hours are Thursdays through Mondays, 1-5 p.m., and by appointment. There is no admission charge.

Visitors are encouraged to bring a flashlight, dress warmly, wear comfortable walking shoes, and carpool since parking is limited. The rain date is Oct. 29. While there is no fee to attend the Washington Cemetery Tour, donations are greatly appreciated.

REGISTRARS OF VOTERS: All Registrars of Voters' offices in Connecticut will hold a statewide voter registration session for those who have turned 18, become a US citizen, or moved to Connecticut since October 31st of this year. This registration session is also open to members of the Armed Forces, and former Armed Forces members who have been discharged within the calendar year. This session will be held on October 31, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 4 DRUMMING FOR PEACE: Drumming for Peace at sunset on the evening of the full moon takes place at Church of Christ Congregational, 5 Old Middle Street, at the intersection of Routes 4 and 63 in Goshen. Participants may bring their own drums or use the drums and rhythm instruments that will be provided. Any type of hand drum may be used.
