Prime Finds ‘pop up’ shop to open; donations wanted

- STAFF REPORTS

TORRINGTON — Prime Time House will open its annual “pop-up” shop in the coming weeks, providing local residents the opportunity to find unique holiday items and home décor, while bringing in funds to support their organization.

Prime Finds Home for the Holidays will offer shoppers gently used, previously loved home furnishings, accessories, holiday decorations and gifts at affordable prices.

Thanks to the generosity of Lawrence Jeffrey Estate Jewelers, this year the store will be located in the historic Carriage House, 14 Cobble Court, on the green in Litchfield.

Residents are invited to donate antiques, furniture, home goods and accessories as well as holiday decorations and gift items to help stock the pop-up shop. Donations can be brought to Prime Time House, 836 Main St., Torrington, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Those interested in making a donation are asked to call 860-618-2479. All donations are tax deductible.

The store will hold a Grand Opening “Sip & Shop” on Nov. 17 from 4-7 p.m. A $20 donation at the door will give guests first dibs on these items, as well as a dose of holiday cheer. You might even leave with your holiday shopping completed. The store will then be open from Nov. 18 through Dec. 29 with varied hours, posted on site in the coming days.

Operated totally by volunteers, over the past two years, the store has netted more than $30,000 to support Prime Time House.
