Tickets available for ‘Jingle and Mingle’

LITCHFIELD — Litchfield Jazz Festival is ringing in the holidays with music and a dinner party, Jingle and Mingle, on Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Litchfield Community Center.

The event features professional artists and outstanding students for the benefit of the scholarship program at Litchfield Jazz Camp.

The stars of the show are award-winning vocalist/composer/pianist Nicole Zuraitis and Brandon Goldberg, an 11-year-old piano prodigy.

Brandon Goldberg hails from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and has been a student at Litchfield for the past two summers.

Zuraitis, a Litchfield native, has made a name for herself internationally as a jazz singer and songwriter.

She began her jazz studies at Litchfield Jazz Camp as a 12-yearold trombone player. She later discovered her voice, developed her piano chops, and received her degree from NYU in classical voice.

She is the head of vocal studies at Litchfield Jazz Camp and maintains a full schedule of performances in New York and around the globe. She has just released her third album, “Hive Mind,” on Dot Time Records. She is the 2016 winner of the New York City Songwriting Competition Coffee Music Project and a 2015 finalist in the Sarah Vaughan International Vocal Competition.

Jingle & Mingle begins at 6:30 p.m. with music and hors d’oeuvres, followed by dinner and jazz and holiday favorites until 9:30 p.m. Tickets are available at jingleandmingle2017.eventbrite.com or by calling 860-3616285.
