Newtown Cyclocross Race held Nov. 5
DANBURY — The Newtown Cyclocross presented by the CT Cycling Advancement Program (CCAP) Nov. 5, and Team 26 staged 12 races, with 197 riders of all ages competing at the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard stables in Newtown nearly five years after the tragic events at Sandy Hook. CCAP appreciated the gracious presence throughout the day by Major James Marrinan, Commanding Officer of the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard.
Funds raised support the CCAP and Team 26. The race sponsors were Cannondale and Ovens of France. For more details, interested cyclists or their families may visit CCAP on Facebook ctcyclingadvancement.org.

Boys 16 to18: 1st Place: Wyatt Cote, 17 years old from Burlington, a CCAP racer and a member of Team 26, 2nd Place: Kyle Mullaly, 16 years old from Wethersfield a CCAP racer, 3rd Place: Ryan Zwick, 16 years old from Wethersfield a member of the Muddy Mayhem/CCAP team
