KEEP AN EYE ON

Trier likely to give it a try: Allonzo Trier, Arizona’s leading scorer at 21.7 points per game, suffered a mild knee sprain in the ’Cats’ win over North Dakota State on Monday night. He left the game in obvious pain after his left knee was banged and extended while playing defense. However, Arizona coach Sean Miller said on his weekly radio show on Tuesday that Trier is likely to play against UConn.

“He has a bruise there and he’s definitely sore,” Miller said, adding that he couldn’t predict how much Trier would play, or how effective he’d be if he did play.

UConn coach Kevin Ollie said his team is preparing as if Trier is going to play.

No place like home: While UConn has lost each of its last five road games against ranked teams, it hasn’t done any better at neutral sites, either. The Huskies are 0-11 against Top 25 teams at either road or netural sites since 2014-15.

History on Huskies’ side?: UConn is 5-0 all-time against Arizona, the last win coming on March 26, 2011, in an NCAA tournament Elite Eight game out in Anaheim, Calif. UConn’s lone win at the McKale Center was a 100-98 overtime triumph on Jan. 26, 2002. In fact, the Huskies are 8-1 all-time in the state of Arizona, including six NCAA tourney game victories. UConn is also 23-7 all-time against teams currently in the Pac-12.
