Twelve Moons returns with Kane Clawson

-

SALISBURY — Twelve Moons Coffee House will feature Kane Clawson on Saturday night, performing with some of the many groups she has worked with during her career.

Clawson will be joined by Wildcat Creek, a traditional/world music band whose members include Dave Paton, Ren Nickson, Mike Prentice, Tom White and Ambrose Verdibello.

She’ll also play with the newly formed Country Jammers, with Carl Jenter, Bev Kosak, Mike Prentice and Ambrose Verdibello; and Menage A’Voix, an improv singing group with a rotating membership including Liz Constable, Margo Hennebach, Adirenne Jones and Mark Saunders.

The night of music will conclude with audience participation — rousing jigs and reels, intermingled with ballads of Great Britain, an homage to classic country tunes made famous by the likes of Patsy Cline and Hank Williams, and mindbending a capella music that evolves in the moment.

Twelve Moons Coffee House is held on the first Saturday of each month, from 7-10 p.m. at St. John's Church (back door entrance) 12 Main St., Salisbury. A donation is requested to help cover expenses. The evening features live music, poetry readings, coffee, tea, snacks, social time with friends and more.

The format for this evening is to offer ‘Open Mic’ from 7-7:30 p.m., the featured performers from 7:30 -9 p.m., and the remaining time as Open Mic and Song Share. Those interested in playing music or reading poems, are welcome to sign up for Open Mic at the door. Those interested in becoming a featured performer, email TwelveMoonsCoffee@gmail.com.
