PBS SERIES: The Torrington Library will debut a PBS Film series, with a new series featured each month Tuesdays at 2 p.m. The next is Feb. 13 and Feb. 20 and will feature “Jackie Robinson,” a documentar­y focusing on his life including his fight for recognitio­n of African Americans as well as his achievemen­ts on the ballfield. LIBRARY READ-IN: Library Read-In Saturday will be held at the Torrington Library, Feb. 17, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The small meeting room will be open to adults only for this drop in program. Coffee and hot chocolate will be available. The larger community room is designated for children and teens who may read or play games that are available.
