Theater to host OSHA seminar
TORRINGTON — The Entrepreneurial Center of Northwest Connecticut Community College will present an OSHA compliance seminar at the Warner Theatre on Friday, April 20, from 8-9:30 a.m. Participants can learn what a business needs to know to reduce medical costs, employee absenteeism and insurance rate hikes, according to a release from the center.
At the completion of the seminar, participants can have an action plan in place to meet OSHA enforcement initiatives and priorities. Topics covered will include National Fire Protection Agency regulations, new technologies of safety systems, workplace violence protection, and investigation steps to prevent further accidents.
Safety officers and engineers, plant managers, human resource professionals, municipal officials and school system representatives are encouraged to attend. The seminar is taught by Robin Denny of Robin Denny and Associates LLC. Denny holds a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health management, a master’s degree in public safety administration and a master’s certificate in emergency management from the University of New Haven. “She presents safety, environmental and emergency preparedness topics in a no-nonsense format to help keep your workforce safe and your company in compliance,” the release states.
Tickets are $15. To purchase tickets, call the Warner Box Office at 860-489-7180 or visit warnertheatre.org.
