Deadlines set for grant applicants
SHEFFIELD, MA — Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation has announced the second round of deadlines for competitive grants in northwest Litchfield County. Regional nonprofits, students and school communities can apply for funding during the spring grant cycle from April through June.
⏩ Nonprofits: The Wassermann-Streit Y’diyah Memorial Fund supports educational projects about Judaism that aim to dispel religious prejudice, bias and intolerance. Grants of $500 will be awarded. Applications are due April 1.
Harvard Business School’s Governing for Nonprofit Excellence is a four-day executive education program designed to enhance leadership and governance skills. Nonprofit board chairs or vice chairs in the region can apply for a scholarship to attend the program. The value of the program is $4,750. Applications are due May 1.
⏩ Students: The Arts Fund for Region One provides scholarships to students of Cornwall, Falls Village, Kent, North Canaan, Salisbury or Sharon who are interested in arts-related programs. Grants of up to $500 will be awarded. Applications are due May 1.
The Tabor Foundation Fund supports residents of northwest Litchfield County and northeast Dutchess County who plan to undertake education or training in a health care or medical field and to seek employment in their community afterward. Nonresidents working in the area can also apply. Grants of up to $4,000 will be awarded. Applications are due June 30.
⏩ School athletics: The Region One Athletic Fund helps students in the Region One School District maintain a healthy lifestyle by supporting programs that give athletes the opportunity to compete in their chosen sport or physical activity. Funding is available for individuals and projects. Grants of up to $500 will be awarded. Applications are due May 1.
