COOKBOOK CLUB: The Cookbook Club, “Cooking from Europe,” will meet April 4, 6:30 p.m. at the Oliver Wolcott Library, 160 South St., Litchfield. The next culinary exploration is Europe — France, Spain, England, Germany and more. We will order a variety of books and then it’s up to you. Let your imagination and taste buds transport you. NOYES’ HOUSE: The Glass House-Noyes House: A Comparison, with Frederick Noyes, will be held April 5, 7 p.m. at the Oliver Wolcott Library, 160 South St., Litchfield. Eliot Noyes (architect of the Oliver Wolcott Library) and Philp Johnson were two major architectural figures of the last generation with worldwide reputations. Frederick Noyes, Eliot Noyes’ son, will discuss their two houses in a close comparison, along with the men behind them. Library events are free and open to the public. Space is limited. LARC WINE TASTING: The Arc of Litchfield County (LARC) Annual Spring Wine Tasting serves up a wonderful, convivial evening on Friday, April 6 from 6-9 p.m. at Chatterley’s Banquet Hall, 371 Pinewoods Rd, Torrington. FLANDERS WILDFLOWERS: The Flanders Nature Center and Land Trust will host area naturalists Peter and Barbara Rzasa Friday, April 6, 7 p.m., for a PowerPoint presentation featuring photos taken by Barbara, an accomplished photographer highlighting the “Wildflowers of Flanders.” Discover interesting facts about these native wildflowers as stories and flower folklore about them is shared.
