Annual fashion show benefits CHH hospital

TORRINGTON — The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Auxiliary will present the 33rd annual Fashion Show and Dinner Fundraiser on June 6 at Chatterley’s Banquet Facility located at 371 Pinewoods Road. The Auxiliary’s largest fundraiser of the year has a theme of “Community” this year.

The evening begins with cocktails at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and the show featuring fashions by J. Jill of Canton, the Charlotte Gift Shop at CHH and Ida’s Formal Wear of Torrington.

Proceeds directly support items and projects for CHH in addition to providing scholarships for local students pursuing careers in the medical field.

The auxiliary was formed in 1916 and has been a significant source of physical and financial aid to the hospital for over 100 years. The CHH Auxiliary has more than 200 volunteer members who assist in raising money for the hospital and the community with dues, donations, volunteering at the gift shop, and assisting with a variety of events including the fashion show, holiday promotions and sales.

Tickets are $35 per person and attendees can sponsor a table for $500, which includes eight tickets. Sponsorship levels of $250 and $100 are also available. To purchase tickets or receive sponsorship information, contact Susan Cook at 860-4824456.
