Belle of the Fall to perform Sunday in Norfolk
Belle of the Fall will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Infinity Music Hall in Norfolk to celebrate the release of their second album “Rise Up.”
Belle of the Fall is the powerhouse musical duo Tracy Walton and Julia Autumn Ford, who collaborated in live shows before officially joining forces in 2015. The following year, the duo won critical acclaim with their first album “Earthbound.” After touring throughout the United States, including performances at the renowned South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, and finding receptive audiences in Canada, Belle of the Fall’s new album is a showcase of their musical experience.
There is a maturity to the sound of “Rise Up” demonstrating an evolution in their creative work that will excite their fan base and draw in new listeners with the poetic lyrical content and rich harmonic compositions.
Recorded at “On Deck Sound Studio” in Litchfield County, “Rise Up” is a worthy successor to their inaugural album for its cohesive structure takes the listener on a journey bookended by Beatlesque forays into “The Great Unknown” and “The Outer Bounds”.
Belle of the Fall achieves its greatest musical success when Ford’s hauntingly beautiful vocals and Walton’s stand-up bass and harmonies transports the listener to an exquisite audio landscape as exemplified in their songs “Time” and “They All Came Crashing Down.”
Belle of the Fall’s live performances are fan favorites. Walton is the consummate host at the microphone and his back and forth with concertgoers ensures everyone is welcomed into the experience. Ford’s vocal talent shines even brighter on grand stages with superb acoustics as can be found in Norfolk at Infinity Music Hall.
