Taking a trip to Portugal

The Chamber is hosting a memorable journey to Portugal from Nov. 2-10. We cordially invite you to join Chamber members, guests and the general public for a once-in-a-lifetime historic tour of one of the most beautiful and safest countries in the world.

Tour features include round trip air transportation from JFK; first-class hotel accommodations for 7 nights; superb cuisine including breakfasts and dinner with wine and water; sightseeing tours with a local guide; cultural discovery connections with insights into the local economy and social systems; introductions to residents; deluxe, air conditioned motor coaches; and baggage handling through airports and transports.

The destination highlights will take us exploring through historic and colorful Lisbon; the Old World neighborhoods of Alfama and Belem; UNESCO World Heritage Jeronimos Monastery & Belem Tower; the traditional Fado show; the historic towns of Sintra and Obidos. We will visit the famous Shrine of Fatima, the picturesque fishermen’s villages and charming coastal towns, the magnificent Gothic monastery in Batalha. We will sample port wines, roam through Coimbra, Europe’s oldest university town and view the welcoming art of the Portuguese people.

Cathedrals, regal monasteries and charming museums are of part of the colorful cityscape of Lisbon where we will explore the city center, the old quarter, wander through the narrow winding streets and enjoy the urban folk music of Portugal. We will also visit the other beautiful towns, plazas, ancient ruins with plenty of time to relax and enjoy this beautiful country.

No trip is complete without the important shopping so never fear because time is allotted for that necessary escapade. On all of our trips, we enjoy evenings together. This is no excep-

A guide is assigned to our group and stays with us throughout each trip. In fact, we become good friends. Tour price is $2,849 per person, double occupancy.
