Learn to bird hike with John Weeks

BARKHAMSTED — Residents are invited to join noted bird expert John Weeks and the Friends of American Legion and People State Forests (FALPS) for a Learn to Bird hike on Saturday, May 19 from 7-10 a.m.

Hikers should meet at the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) headquarters on Beach Rock Road in Barkhamsted. Preregistration is required and space is limited.

To attend, email ctfalps@gmail.com. If confirmed, bring binoculars and dress for an outdoor hike. Guests should arrive at least 15 minutes early for a quick review of bird identification tips from Weeks.
