Lyme disease expert to speak in Kent
KENT — Join the Kent Memorial Library and Lyme disease expert Rika Keck for a health talk, “What You Need To Know About Lyme Disease” on Saturday 2 p.m. at the Kent Town Hall. You will be informed about Lyme disease, co-infections, testing options and transmission.
Whether you are dealing with an acute infection, or ongoing sickness posttreatment, Rika explores key points that most physicians do not address. In addition, you will pick up a few tips of how you can help your body heal, while also preventing a new infection this year.
Rika is a nutrition and holistic health consultant with years of experience in multiple arenas. Coupled with her excellent skills as a nutrition and holistic health consultant, Rika is an author, holistic health and fitness expert, a Lyme disease advocate, guest blogger and public speaker. Her specialities include Lyme disease and co-infections, mold sickness, chronic inflammatory illness, women’s wellness, digestive health and autoimmune diseases.
As a drug-free practitioner, her in-depth knowledge of Lyme disease and professional experience allows for healing opportunities that support antibiotic or alternative treatment for Lyme disease.
Since December 2016, Rika is a member of International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society. She intends to take an active role to help, advocate for, and support individuals with vector-borne infections including Lyme disease.
As an author, she has published two books. Her clients inspired the following publications: “Nourish Heal Thrive: a Comprehensive and Holistic Approach to Living with Lyme Disease” and the “Nourish Your Brain Cookbook.” Rika is also an invited guest speaker on various health panels in NYC. As she spends time in Washington Depot, Rika is committed to giving back to the community by presenting health talks on the important topic of Lyme disease.
She will be happy to answer questions before, during and after her talk, and to sign or inscribe copies of her books.
This talk is free and open to the public. Please register. For information, call 860-927-3761 or go to our online calendar at kentmemoriallibrary.org.
