LAUREL PARADE: The Winsted Laurel Festival Parade begins Sunday at 1 p.m. Meadow Street and ends at East End Park where the 2018 Laurel King and Queen will be crowned. Participan­ts in the parade include the Connecticu­t Hurricanes Drum and Bugle Corps as well as The Waterbury Pipes and Drums. All past royalty, dating back to 1934, have bee invited to be part of a Past Queens Float, as well as a future royalty float, local bands and civic groups. All are invited to the park for the crowning of this year’s King and Queen.
