TORRINGTON — The Warner Stage Company will present “Spring Awakening” in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre June 16-24. The play explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with a poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable.
in “Spring Awakening,” a group of late 19th-century German students navigate teenage self-discovery and coming of age anxiety, in a powerful celebration of youth and rebellion in the daring, remarkable story.
The landmark musical is an electrifying fusion of morality, sexuality and rock and roll that is exhilarating audiences across the nation like no other musical in years.
The winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, told by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater through what Entertainment Weekly called, “the most gorgeous Broadway score this decade.”
This show contains adult language and situations. The Warner Stage Company production is directed and choreographed by Sharon A. Wilcox, codirected by Katherine Ray and music directed by Dan Ringuette. Performances are June 16, 22 and 23 at 8 p.m. and June 17 and 24 at 2 p.m.
