LAUREL PARADE: The Winsted Laurel Festival Parade begins Sunday at 1 p.m. Meadow Street and ends at East End Park where the 2018 Laurel King and Queen will be crowned. Participants in the parade include the Connecticut Hurricanes Drum and Bugle Corps as well as The Waterbury Pipes and Drums. All past royalty, dating back to 1934, have bee invited to be part of a Past Queens Float, as well as a future royalty float, local bands and civic groups. All are invited to the park for the crowning of this year’s King and Queen.
