Greenbrier Classic changes name

The PGA Tour has approved a name change for The Greenbrier Classic in West Virginia. The West Virginia resort says the tournament will now be known as A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier. The eight-yearold tournament has typically been held around the Independence Day holiday. This year's event is set for July 5 through 8 on the Old White TPC Course in White Sulphur Springs . ... The Houston Open is moving to the fall on the PGA Tour under the guidance of Houston Astros owner Jim Crane. The PGA Tour says the Astros Foundation will be the host organization that runs the tournament when the Houston Open returns to the schedule in the fall of 2019. That opens a spot on next year's schedule for the 3M Championship in Minnesota to move to the PGA Tour. The Minnesota event has been a PGA Tour Champions event since 1993.
