LITCHFIELD — The Litchfield Historical Society invites the community to its first Apple Harvest Festival, on Saturday, Sept. 29, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The event will be held in the newly-opened Tapping Reeve Meadow, located behind the Tapping Reeve House and Litchfield Law School. The meadow is a historically-inspired garden designed to provide the community with personal interactions with nature.

Featuring music by MJK Music, a brother and sister duo comprised of Meghan and Jaden Spangenberg, whose music is influenced by jazz, folk, and classical genres, and an apple pie contest with pies submitted by local amateur bakers.
