Artist of the month’s work on display
TORRINGTON — Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’s Auxiliary is featuring the landscape and nature photography of Rick Popham now through early October in the hospital’s main lobby hallway, 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington.
The public is invited to view and buy the works during regular visiting hours as part of the auxiliary’s ongoing “Artist of the Month” program.
A portion of the proceeds from sales of the artwork support the CHH Auxiliary and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
Rick Popham has been photographing New England, particularly Northwest Connecticut, for many years. Most of the images in this exhibit were taken in Litchfield Country with some in Berkshire County and other New England states.
Popham has previously exhibited at CHH, the University of Connecticut Health Center, Berkshire Medical Center, the Tolland Green Arts Center, and at Gallery 36 ½ in Manchester, CT.
The Auxiliary’s “Artist of the Month” program has been featuring paintings, photographs, and artwork each month from local artists for over 25 years.
More than 200 member supporters assist in raising money for the hospital through dues, donations, volunteering at the gift shop, and a variety of events including an annual fashion show.
