Submission deadline set for ASAP celebration
WASHINGTON — ASAP! is accepting submissions until Friday, for its 8th annual Celebration of Young Photographers. The free event will be held on Nov. 4th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Washington Town Hall in Washington Depot.
Students in grades 6-12 are invited to submit a photo based on this year’s theme: Possibilities are Boundless ... In a world that values order, following instructions and conformity, ASAP! believes that curiosity, wonder and the spirit of experimentation are equally important. We invite photographers to consider these values to capture the spirit of possibility in their images.
No photography experience is necessary. ASAP! encourages anyone in grades 6-12 with a favorite photo to submit. If you are taking a photo on your iPhone please make sure it is set to HDR (High Dynamic Range) and that it meets the size requirements on the submission guidelines.
A panel of renowned artists and photographers will jury the photographs to be exhibited in a gallery style show that is free and open to the public. This year the top selected work in each age group will receive the first ever 2018 Dylan’s Wings Photography Award.
Submissions may be emailed to photos@asapct.orgon or before Friday, October 5th.
